I must have lower expectations

| I was a little wary ordering this changing table after these two reviews, but am happy I did. It did take my husband 3 hours to put together, but he did not find it difficult, just time consuming; there are a lot of parts. Yes, it is particle board, but is seems sturdy. I don't expect my child to take this piece of furniture of to college with them. I know this will get damaged and will likely need to be replaced with a new dresser in a few years. But at this price, I won't be upset when my child draws or places stickers or dents it. For the price, it is a good buy. |
Looks nice but really poorly made.

| This changing table looks really great once its put together. But it is made extremely cheaap. The back wood is so thin its almost like cardboard. My husabnd is really great at putting furniture together but did have a hard time with this one. The bars that hold the drawers are not metal but plastic. It is not a cheap (varying in price from $189.00-$250.00) but I wish we would have done more research and found a another table for $50.00 or more. I am not forseeing this product to last longer then a year or two. |
Unsafe product - incredibly sharp corners!

This is a nice looking changing table and perfect for a small space. Had I known the corners were as sharp as they were though, I would not have purchased this item. I'm surprised this passed any safety inspection! EVERY single corner is sharp enough to invoke SERIOUS injury to someone. We got some rounded corner guards but they are not enough - you'll need 16 to insure you get every side (4 for the bottom inside drawers, 4 for the top drawer, 4 for the corners above the top drawer, and 4 for the corners of the table guards). In addition, standard corner guards don't fit well so we had to cut them to size. We would have returned the product but it took several hours to install it, so we'll keep it with the intent of getting a better dresser in the near future and having it all patched with makeshift corner guards.
Last but not least, the edges are also very sharp. By the time we finish baby and child proofing this thing, it will look like a patched up changing table. Don't waste your money on this changing table. |
